General George Joulwan East Side Park

Joulwan Park is located on the site of the former East Side swimming pool on East Norwegian Street in Pottsville. The pool, closed and neglected for several years, was demolished and replaced with a skate park, basketball courts and playground. There is also a beautiful memorial located at the entrance to the park and an amphitheater. The park is broken up into 3 tiers because the area formerly contained a small reservoir. The walking trail is about 1/3 of a mile in length and the surface varies from stone to grass and asphalt.
