Hawk Mountain Sanctuary

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is located at 1700 Hawk Mountain Road, Kempton, PA 19529. Parking is limited to 300 cars. If you plan to visit during the month of October, arrive before 10:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. to ensure a parking space. Fee for trails: $5 per visit, seniors $4, kids 6-12 $3, autumn weekends and holidays $7. Yearly membership of $40 allows you to access all trails free of charge for a year. There are over 8 miles of different trails with varying degrees of difficulty. All trails are dirt surface in their natural state. Trails are marked with signs and/or painted marks on trees and rocks. There are limited benches and official rest areas. The trails have been left in their natural state which consists of inclines and boulders on some of the more difficult trails. It is suggested visitors bring a backpack with food and water and cushions to sit on if a rest is needed. It should also be noted that Hawk Mountain has a pack in-pack out policy; there are no garbage cans. The South Lookout Trail is only 300 feet away from the parking lot and wheelchair accessible. Other trails are for hikers only. Due to the natural habitat at Hawk Mountain, pets are not allowed. Restrooms are located at the Visitors Center, near the Amphitheater, near the South Lookout, and near Kettle View
