Tuscarora State Park

There are seven trails in the park ranging in difficulty from easy to moderately difficult. Most of the trails are short (0.3 to 1.4 miles) and wind through various habitats including mature deciduous forest, grass fields, and meadows. AREA ATTRACTIONS: The park offers beautiful foliage and great views of the lake and forest. Tuscarora State Park was developed as a family tent and trailer campground and has 282 campsites. Additional camper facilities include modern restrooms, swimming beach, boat rental, camp store, bicycle trail, hiking trails, fishing, playgrounds, and nature programs. Tuscarora State Park is very close to Tamaqua and Hometown with access to several gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants. White Birch Golf Course is just outside the park entrance. PA Fish and Boat Commission regulations apply. The Lake View Trail (best trail for strollers and wheelchairs) parallels the lake offering a nice view of the beach. Pets are welcome but must be leashed and are not permitted on the beach.
